Communication Chaos
November 14, 2017
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Project managers: Have you ever been overwhelmed or frustrated by the sheer volume of communication you need to address in order to successfully manage a project?
Project team members: Have you ever been frustrated by delayed responses to your information requests? Are you sometimes confused by the information you do receive?
Communication is the grease that makes the gears of a project turn. But gears can slip when there’s too much grease, and grind to a halt when there’s not enough. In this interactive workshop, attendees will take part in a demonstration that’s sure to spark discussions and provide insights into our expectations about communicating on projects.
Lisa DelCol practiced both instructional design and project management for years before earning ATD’s Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) credential in 2015 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute® in 2011. Her career has spanned a spectrum in both the public and private sectors that includes running her own small business, working for both large and small organizations, and freelance writing. In corporate settings Lisa has facilitated training in topics that include “Desktop Publishing Using MS Word”, “Facilitative Instructor Workshop”, and most recently “Project Management for Non-PM Professionals”. She also conducts occasional lunch & learns at OGE on topics relating to instructional design. Lisa has been a Senior Instructional Designer on OG&E’s Learning Services team since early 2014, and she counts herself fortunate to be part of a diverse group of talented, creative professionals.
