    Job Summary:

    The role will specifically drive the implementation of training and learning initiatives to support business objectives and strategy implementation. As a Talent Management Specialist, you will provide presentation, training, communications, project planning and project management support to the current and future strategic initiatives of Continental Resources.


    • Deliver and facilitate exciting, progressive and comprehensive training content to executives, management,  and employees  using a variety of training techniques and a collaborative approach
    • Design and organize regular learning events, i.e. lunch and learns
    • Ensure effective delivery of the company’s Leadership Development programs
    • Manage individual (ad hoc) requests for leadership development workshops (including facilitation, as applicable)
    • Facilitate Train-the-Trainer workshops, as needed for leadership programs delivered by internal facilitators
    • Provide guidance and tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure training meets business needs and development goals
    • Develop and maintain strong synergistic relationships with colleagues and customers, including those internal to Human Resources (e.g., HR Business Partners)
    • Organize necessary logistics such as training rooms, external venues and provide supporting training materials, etc. (as applicable)
    • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
    • Design, create and adjust training content, online learning modules, guides, and course materials
    • Advise leaders and employees on learning needs and opportunities; acts as a consultant to business partners on the application of key learning on-the-job
    • Where applicable, review and evaluate training materials from prospective vendors
    • Make use of technology to enhance training delivery experience
    • Proactively develop collaborative relationships with HR and key business leaders to perform needs assessments and identify training gaps; develop recommendations and present to Business Unit and Manager, Talent Management for approval
    • Provide direct support to HiPos – including assessment feedback and development planning
    • Build and maintain a library of resources that address development needs and competencies
    • Serve as a change agent in the area of leadership development
    • Coach leaders at all levels, with an emphasis on middle management
    • Data collection and diagnosis: culture, performance, teambuilding, leadership
    • Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and education
    • Assist with training other employees and providing backup
    • Assist with organizational design as requested
    • Assist with Onboarding as it relates to Training and Career Development Planning


    • Hands-on experience in applying adult learning theories
    • Excellent facilitation skills and confidence presenting in front of a bigger audience
    • Expertise in designing presentations with PowerPoint
    • Solid project management skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Proven team player
    • Demonstrated skill in assessing talent and able to coach for development
    • Excellent consultative and facilitation skills
    • Demonstrated collaboration skills
    • Possess a strong work ethic and bias for action
    • Strong attention to detail and customer focus


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field from an accredited College or University.
    • At least five (5) years of progressive talent management, learning and/or organizational development experience.
    • Certification/License preferred
    • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
