We Deliver For You
January 9, 2018
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
‘We Deliver for You’ is a 60-minute interactive workshop that spotlights the work of instructional design. It does so by reminding you of how expert analysis, sound instructional design, and thoughtful development helps to ensure the effective delivery of various learning experiences.
Consider times when you want to deliver a package. You have several options to choose from such as the postal service, express delivery, courier, ground shipping, and more. Your choice is determined by a variety of factors, such as where the package is going, its size, how soon you want it delivered, the value of its contents, and the cost for your desired delivery option. To make an informed decision about the types of learning delivery options and methods of delivery, you need to ask yourself lots of questions here (as well), and draw on that information, while collecting more information (if needed) to narrow down the learning delivery type and method of delivery that will be implemented to benefit learners. To do this, you will consider some of the same factors that are needed when you want to send a package such as:
• The destination (terminal objective);
• Urgency (when does it need to be delivered);
• Size (number of people to be trained);
• Preferences (provided by learners and stakeholders);
• Content (the learning);
• Available resources (SME’s, existing content, etc.); and
• The cost to design, develop, implement, and sustain the learning.
Come listen, participate, collaborate, and be inspired!
