CPM is a department within the College of Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma. We provide public sector agencies, staff, service providers, clients and community partners training, research and consultant support for professional and programmatic development. We deliver cost-effective, customer-orientated solutions that are tailored to meet unique needs and situations.

    The trainer will be responsible for learning new content areas and systems, delivering training through effective training methodologies and evaluating success by defined learning metrics.

    Duties will include:

    • Delivering and facilitating training and motivating trainees through effective training methodologies, both in group and individual classroom dynamics.
    • Delivering and facilitating training with a range of training tools and techniques including workshops, classroom lectures, videos or presentations, online learning, training manuals, one-to-one coaching, and group role-play sessions.
    • Developing a thorough understanding of services, technologies and processes.

    Job Requirements

    Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

    • 18 months experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or training delivery


    • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
    • Basic math skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Customer service

    Departmental Preferences:

    • 3 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or training delivery
    • 2 years of classroom instruction experience
    • Ability to quickly learn culture, processes, and technology and be able to teach them to others
    • Technologically intermediate/advanced skills in MS products Word/Power Point
