CPM is a department within the College of Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma. We provide public sector agencies, staff, service providers, clients and community partners training, research and consultant support for professional and programmatic development. We deliver cost-effective, customer-orientated solutions that are tailored to meet unique needs and situations.


    Position will use various graphic design and desktop publishing techniques and systems to perform a variety of tasks to support educational and program deliverables.


    Duties will include:

    • Using page layout, formatting, and typography to create both electronic and print deliverables of varying size and complexity – including training materials, technical documents and proposals.

    • Assisting in editing and mastering documents under minimal direction.

    • Developing and using templates.

    • Developing basic graphics for use in manuals, guides, presentations, and other related materials.

    • Coordinating document production using electronic and traditional publishing techniques.

    • Providing grammatical and formatting review and editing of documents and forms.

    • Ensuring all documents comply with copyright laws, writing standards, templates and branding guidelines.


    Job Requirements


    Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

    • 24 months experience in document creation, layout and/or publishing


    • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

    • Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office

    • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

    • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

    • Customer service

    Departmental Preferences:

    • 24 months experience with document layout and formatting

    • Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office suite proficiency in document layout and publishing

    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software is highly desired

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines
